Retired executive secretary. Extensive experience as a California Library Friend, Trustee and Commissioner lobbying for library funding and advocating for the preservation and expansion of public libraries. Lifelong library user who wanted to be a librarian when she grew up!
Worked for 18 years as a library tech in an elementary school in CA. Previous FSWL Vice President and volunteer for fundraising and event planning to support the ongoing operations of the South Whatcom Library.
Formerly worked at Whatcom County Library System and other nonprofit organizations in administrative capacity, with experience in bookkeeping, event planning, publicity and grants administration.
Previously held executive position with Main Street America, a not-for-profit organization that assists downtown and neighborhood communities to revitalize their economies and preserve their historical character. Owned and operated a popular wine specialty shop and an events planning and catering service
Retired. Former RN, then became substitute teacher at the elementary level. Lifelong lover of books, libraries and learning.
I have spent my adult life as a library advocate working as a librarian in middle school, high school and college level. I appreciate the amazing amenity we enjoy in our community of housing the South Whatcom Library. I am committed to seeking a resolution that would allow the library to remain in Sudden Valley.
